"I believe in the power of stories," says Anna Emm, founder and manager of Anna Emm
Productions. "A good story can inspire and nourish the soul like no other medium on earth."
Anna Emm grew up on stories. Her father was a literature lecturer at the university, and besides getting his children the latest award-winning books on birthdays, Anna remembers all the trips to the theatres and cinemas. Her mother loved reading, and she soothed her children's aches and pains with stories instead of sweets! "I've been thinking stories ever since I can remember," Anna says, "and I've been writing them down from the moment I could hold a pen. I am the accumilation of all the books I have read, all the stories I've been told, and all the movies and plays I have seen. I can't help but write." In 2004 Anna launched her own production company, Anna Emm Productions. As a young mother and ex-teacher, she started out by writing for children, and has written and produced more than 600 original children's stories on CD since then. However, the launch of the RED HATTER STORE will now see many more audio stories for adults. Because "grownups, too, need a reminder that the fairy tales are real..." says Anna. Happy listening! |
